To look at what you don’t have, always finding it insufficient and feeding more and more the lack, also called scarcity ?, or to look at life, be grateful for everything (the good and the not so good) and, with this feeling, seek the necessary change to create a life you love to live? This last option I mentioned is to connect with Gratitude.
For some, being grateful is when someone does something for that person and that person thanks them. The name of this is not gratitude, it is politeness. There are people who say, “I am grateful, I go to church and give thanks all the time. The name of this is not gratitude either, the name of this is prayer. Both things are fundamental and important in life, but it is still not gratitude.
But Dani, what is gratitude? It is a profound change in our outlook. It is to put on the lens of humility and recognize that life gives us many things, because it is abundant in essence. The wonderful fact of breathing, being able to feed, to move, to reason without difficulty is already a gift.
Gratitude is, instead of looking at the problems, to start looking at the blessings. Instead of looking at the obstacles, look at the opportunities. Instead of looking at what is not working in your life, start looking at what is working, because everything you put your focus and energy on expands.
Independent of social class, age, religion, when we change the way we look at things, we change the results. And transforming this way of looking at reality has to be in an effective way, because in reality we were born “complaining” (lol). Have you ever thought about this? The first thing we do when we come into the world is cry. We go on in tears because we felt hungry, sleepy and so on.
But the “crying” of now that is complaining, doesn’t have the function it had before and can get addicted to looking at this scenario. Life gives more of the same and what does that mean? If there is a complaint of lack of money, the “gift” that life will bring is more lack of money. If there is professional discontent and there is complaining, it will bring more discontent.
Have you ever thought about the word CLAIM? To complain is to ask very hard. To complain is to ask twice. How about claiming the divine abundance to which we have a right? How about claiming all the good things we want in our lives to step by step build the life we love to live?
When we are grateful for what we have and already anticipate the things we want in our lives as if they were already part of it, our brain starts to understand that we like what we have, and we start to create and connect with this positive vibration, and LIFE GIVES MORE OF THE SAME, and will send us in abundance those things we are thanking for.
It sounds so simple, that people doubt that it can be so powerful. In the Bible, there are over 300 passages: there is everything from there thanks. And as the wise St. Francis of Assisi would say Phrase of Francis of Assisi: “Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you will be doing the impossible.” Let’s take the first step of this change of outlook today and connect with gratitude ?
